En de verzekering vergoed in de meeste gevallen de behandeling. De voeten van diabetespati\u00ebnten vereisen extra zorg. Regelmatige controle en (indien nodig) behandeling \u00a0door een speciaal hiervoor opgeleide pedicure kan ernstige problemen voorkomen. Het is dan ook verstandig om een maal in de zes weken naar een professionele medisch pedicure te gaan die de aantekening &#8220;diabetische Voet&#8221; heeft, ook als er geen voetklachten zijn. Nathalie is in het bezit van de aantekening &#8220;Diabetische Voet&#8221;. In de meeste gevallen kunt u in aanmerking komen voor een vergoeding van deze behandelingen door de zorgverzekeraar. U kunt in uw polisvoorwaarden nalezen onder welke voorwaarden en hoeveel uw zorgverzekeraar vergoed in geval van Diabetes of anders kunt u dit controleren op de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kwaliteitsregisterpedicures.nl\/pages\/26\/Consumenten\/Dekking-zorgverzekeraars.html\" target=\"_blank\">site van ProCert<\/a>. De voeten van diabetespati\u00ebnten kunnen extra kwetsbaar zijn en hierdoor is een speciale behandeling geboden. De redenen waarom de voeten extra kwetsbaar zijn:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>De bloedsomloop in benen en voeten kan verminderen<\/li>\n<li>Het gevoel in de voeten kan verminderen of zelfs uitvallen<\/li>\n<li>De voeten kunnen van stand veranderen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Algemene adviezen voor de diabetespati\u00ebnt zijn:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Controleer dagelijks de voeten op eventuele wondjes of huidbeschadigingen (men kan met een spiegeltje de onderkant van de voet bekijken of laat een huisgenoot dit doen)<\/li>\n<li>Nooit op blote voeten lopen, hoe lekker men dit ook vindt<\/li>\n<li>Geen lange voetbaden nemen omdat de huid hierdoor erg kwetsbaar wordt.<\/li>\n<li>Geen kousen of sokken met grove naden dragen<\/li>\n<li>Voor het aantrekken van de schoenen even kijken of er geen harde dingen in zitten zoals steentjes.<\/li>\n<li>Wanneer de nagels van de tenen zelf geknipt worden, deze altijd recht afknippen<\/li>\n<li>Laat uw voeten regelmatig behandelen door een professionele pedicure aangesloten bij ProVoet met de aantekening \u00a0&#8220;Diabetische Voet&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Voetverzorging bij mensen met diabetes (suikerziekte) is extra belangrijk.
